Bike Touring Trip Cards

Bike Touring Trip Cards

We always thought the idea of a trip card was excellent. Many long-distance cycle tourists print up a small handout that they can give to people they meet on road – either to make the passing-on of contact info more simple, or as a way to share about their trip, their bikes or their charity.

We wanted to do the same for our big adventure! Hopefully our cards will be something that makes it easier for people to remember who we are and what we are doing, as well as connect them with a way to follow along with our journey. We had a lot of info to share, so we put together a card that folds open with more details on the inside. Can’t wait to see these in print!

Have you ever received a trip card from a cyclist? Have you made your own?

I just found you guys! Great trip! We cycled the Pacific Coast (I’m warning you that in the States, there are long stretches with no good coffee) a couple years ago and across Canada last summer showing our film.

I think your route is super ambitious. We met people who spent a year just going around the outside of the States, and it took us 3 months for Canada (yes, we like to enjoy a few stops along the way). Anyway, I’m sure with all your other trips under your belt, you know what you are doing.

If you need a place to stay once you reach Vancouver, look us up.
    Your cards look amazing!

Hi Jen — we agree, our route is ambitious! its amazing how much distance one can potentially cover on bikes over a year, even with plenty of rest and relaxation built in.

we’ll give you a shout when we are near vancouver. at the very least we’d like to meet you!

I have what I call a calling card, as what it advertises is not a business but an advocacy site. I would be delighted to trade cards with you. Will e-mail you privately. Cheers!

Love these- really great idea! Would love to do something similar- how many are you planning to take with you? Only thinking in terms of space/weight- I have a load of business cards for work and they weigh a surprising amount in spite of their relatively small size!

Can’t wait to follow your blog. Wish we were crossing paths along the way- would have been great to meet up!!- but let us know how you get on with Canada!! :)

Becki – we’re planning on printing 500 cards for the year, taking 250 with us and sending the remainder to a contact 4 or 5 months down the road.

Excited to follow you guys too — it is really too bad our schedules/routes don’t match up.
