Last night we hosted Emmanuel and Nawal (organized through www.warmshowers.org), a couple from France who have spent the last 9 months touring Southeast Asia and riding across Canada. They have 3 more months on their tour and are heading next to South America.

I loved hearing about their adventures and what they have learned while on tour: what to pack and what NOT to not pack, how they enjoy starting their day late and cycling into the early evening, and budget comparisons for cycling in Canada, France and SE Asia.

I am still laughing at the memory of Emmanuel doing impressions of an Italian talking about his pasta and of a Chinese man’s reaction to our teapot (they shared lychee tea with us that they brought all the way from China, but we didn’t have a proper teapot to serve it in!). Perhaps someday we will travel to Burgundy, France and see them again. Maybe on a future bike trip through Europe? Have a fantastic time with the rest of your adventure Emmanuel and Nawal!
